I developed my first roll of film when I was 12. that's 47 years of black and white film development. I worked in commercial photo labs in the SF Bay area until 5 years ago when the lab business took a serious nose dive. I ran E6 lines. Color neg film lines, printed both black and white and color commercially and did dupe slide and 4x5 transparencies.

I have done tons of copy work and photographed art.

I managed the digital department in a lab in Berkeley.

I love film and miss it. There is nothing quite like printing from an 8x10 negative and seeing the quality. It can't be duplicated digitally.

I still own a 4x5 Besler condenser enlarger. It's gathering dust in my darkroom now because everyone is into digital.
